The Aerostar is equipped with state of the art radio communication and navigation equipment. GPS navigation direct to the destination, is the most frequently used, when approved by Air Traffic Control.
It has three GPS receivers for navigation and also a radio navigation system.
The Multifunction display (top center) provides situational awareness on the moving map, along with weather information for the route to be flown and at the destination.
It also has ADS-B weather information displayed on the Pilot Function Display and a separate on board Radar for real time depiction of any Precipitation Weather Hazard en-route.
Actual air traffic information is displayed on the Pilot Function Display indicating other aircraft locations, direction and altitude in a range determined by the pilot.
